Alexander Prevost is a 16-year-old sophomore who enjoys cycling, debate competitions and gaming. He joined scouting in 2004, and Troop 165 in 2009. After he graduates from high school, he plans enlist in a branch of the Unites States Armed Forces. As a senior patrol leader, he learned the negative consequences of poor communications and insufficient planning. He did not inform the scoutmaster of all of the food to be purchased for a troop camping trip. As a result, they had to scramble to find and prepare food for breakfast.
For his Eagle Scout project, Alex built picnic tables for a pavilion at New Life in Christ Church, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, as well as a fire pit with benches. He enjoys cycling because people of all ages and stages, shapes and sizes can participate. He is riding with ESCAA because it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride with cyclists from across the United States.
